Paintings and multicolored woodcuts. Olaf Hoppe is one of Germany's best artists in the field of woodcuts. In 2024, he won first prize in the competition "250 prints for Caspar David Friedrich" organized by the city of Greifswald. Haus Hoppe - Galerie für Bildende Kunst - a place where art, craftsmanship and culture come together in a special way. In the middle of the countryside and yet firmly anchored in the art world - Haus Hoppe invites visitors on a special journey of discovery. In a lovingly restored farmhouse from the 18th century, the gallery presents works by the well-known artist Olaf Hoppe on around 450 m². Hoppe is one of Germany's leading woodcut artists. His works have been exhibited internationally and are represented in numerous public collections. In 2024, he was awarded first prize in the "250 prints for Caspar David Friedrich" competition organized by the city of Greifswald. A special highlight is the historical printing press, where visitors can experience the traditional technique of letterpress printing live. In addition to the permanent exhibition, Haus Hoppe offers a varied cultural program: painting and drawing courses, guided tours and educational programs for all age groups. Cooperation with schools and kindergartens ensures a lively exchange and sustainable cultural education. Here, art meets European culture in the best sense of the word.
