An idyllically situated rest stop for waterway travelers, featuring a boat dock and seating areas with a view of the Cyclists’ Church. Here, you can experience life close to nature along the Recknitz River. There are no restrooms or sanitary facilities. Coordinates 54°13'17.0"N 12°32'41.8"E
At river kilometer 8.5, you’ll reach a rest stop for waterway travelers in the wilderness, without modern amenities. Look out for a narrow side channel when the church tower comes into view. From land, you can reach the rest area via a dirt road behind Slawenburg; opposite the fire station, turn right on the path leading to the church.
In 2023, the footbridge was completely renovated: new piles were driven into the ground and new planks were laid.
