The angling club looks after the lower Recknitz, a natural fishing area where you can go stalking from land and from a boat for scaly fish from A for eel to Z for zander. You can obtain the MV tourist fishing license and fishing permits for the waters of the LAV-MV and coastal waters of MV from us all year round. Locals and guests can also take the examination for a lifetime fishing license during a fishing license course with us. Our association was founded in 1927. We are a registered non-profit association and since 01.01.2002 a member of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Angling Association and the German Angling Association (DASV). Our club has over 350 members, including over 50 girls and women. The average age varies between 44 and 46 years. Our association is open to all citizens who are interested in fishing as a leisure activity and who feel a connection to nature and environmental protection and landscape conservation. Our aim is to further develop and promote the most fundamental interest of an angler, catching fish, as a meaningful leisure activity while taking into account and observing the interests of nature and environmental protection and landscape conservation. With the public harbor and fishing festivals, which have been held annually since 2002, we offer a special event to the residents and guests of our town in addition to our fishing friends and are delighted with the positive and great response.

Would you like to try our own Marlow beer? Or refined meat and fish dishes or burgers? Our brewery right next to the Recknitz Valley Hotel Marlow is open for you every day. The brewery "Zur alten Fassfabrik" is not only a name that ties in with old traditions and Marlow's history, but has also become a piece of enjoyment in the region. From 1891 to 1948, the old barrel factory and the sawmill of the merchant Carl Kossow and his partner, the master cooper Levermann, were located on the neighboring property. At that time, production consisted mainly of barrels for butter and herrings. Today, barrels are still needed, but not made of wood and not for dairy products and fish, but for delicious beer. We brew 6 types of beer in our own brewery: Marlower Pils, Marlower Dunkel, Marlower Spezial, Marlower Bockbier, Marlower Hefeweizen and Marlower India Pale. All varieties are brewed by our brewer in accordance with the German Purity Law and tapped fresh from the tap or bottled exclusively in 0.5 liter bottles. The unfiltered beer is now known beyond the borders of Marlow and is an insider tip among beer connoisseurs. So take the opportunity to visit and see the high quality for yourself! Accompanied by a variety of small dishes from our own stone oven or directly from the grill - simply hearty and delicious!
