After a long period of use lasting into the 1930s, the mill collapsed in 1972 due to its age.
However, thanks to the tireless work of the Eldenaer Mühle e.V. support association, it was faithfully restored to its original condition.
Today, the mill is a living monument to the old milling tradition. Visitors can look forward to an exciting journey into the past: they can experience the impressive mechanics and historical construction of the mill up close and learn how the milling trade was practiced back then. Regular guided tours offer interesting insights into how the mill works, and the highlight for many guests is the opportunity to try their hand at grinding grain.
