Beseritz Manor House
● Beseritz
The central projection with the coat of arms on the high gable is particularly striking. To the right, you can see the tower with its pointed, tile-covered spire.
Johann August Schlettwein (a well-known jurist and economist) inherited the estate through his wife in 1784. In 1808, the Schlettwein family’s daughter, along with her husband Robertus, owned the estate. The estate remained in the family. Beginning in 1880, following a fire, Christian Graf von Bernstorff had the manor house rebuilt according to plans by Georg Daniel. After 1945, the manor house served as a residence. Today, it is used as a restaurant and for other cultural purposes.
