Land of the animals
● Banzin
Open sanctuary for former farm animals with educational facilities. There are guided tours of the animals every Sunday during the summer months. Animal and human encounter days, including an introduction to vegan cuisine, as well as environmental, animal and nature conservation days for youth groups are offered.
Pink pigs play in the forest and full-grown turkeys greet guests with a spectacular gobble: get to know the land of animals, join an exciting tour and experience environmental, animal welfare and animal rights issues up close. Whether day visitors or school classes: our guests enjoy a pleasant combination of leisure and education.
The Land of Animals is a farm for former farm animals such as pigs, sheep, turkeys and rabbits. Here, the Animal Emergency Aid Foundation gives animals in need a permanent home under the best possible living conditions. On the beautiful 133,000 m² site, young and old can experience at first hand the natural needs of pigs and chickens when they are given the space and opportunity to do so in the wild.
Interested visitors are welcome during opening hours, which are announced on our website. We offer day programs for school classes and other groups by appointment. Farm festivals with readings and cooking shows as well as wild herb collections and bird song excursions round off the offer.
