The tour leads along paths and roads that hardly any navigation system knows - into what seems like nowhere, but turns out to be beautiful, typical Mecklenburg parkland. The route combines landscape and history in a unique way: from Ice Age megalithic tombs to estate parks and country castles. If you like, you can also get a brief insight into traditional crafts - including a guitar-making workshop and a goldsmith's shop.
Start in Dalwitz - also possible from Tessin or Gnoien
The tour usually starts in Dalwitz in the heart of the Mecklenburg Parkland. On request, it is also possible to start in Tessin, the Warbel town of Gnoien or at various manor houses in the surrounding area - practical for anyone spending their vacation at the Baltic Sea and planning an excursion inland. The tours take place from April to October.
How to get to the Parkland Safari in Walkendorf and Dalwitz
Walkendorf and the starting point Dalwitz are located in the district of Rostock, easily accessible via the A19 (Laage exit) or the A20. If you are traveling by train, it is best to use Tessin station - it is located on the route between Wismar and Rostock and is expressly intended as an alternative starting point for the safari. From the Baltic Sea coast, for example from the Fischland-Darß-Zingst area or from Rostock, the Mecklenburg Parkland can be reached in around 30 to 45 minutes.

I would like to welcome you to my Parkland goldsmiths in Dalwitz. You can look forward to great unique pieces of jewelry made of gold, silver and tantalum. My pencil portrait drawings will also be on display. I will give you an insight into my workshop, which was founded in 2018, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about goldsmithing. After training as a goldsmith at the Kaiserslautern Master Craftsmen's School and working for several years in various goldsmiths in Germany, my dream of having my own goldsmith's workshop came true at the beginning of 2018 with the founding of Parkland Goldsmiths Dalwitz. Here I make unique jewelry from a wide variety of precious materials and and carry out repairs and alterations. In addition to the usual gold and silver, I also use tantalum, currently the rarest metal in the solar system, which impresses with its black color and durability. In addition to traditional craftsmanship methods, I also use a modern welding laser. This allows the production of unique tantalum pieces and repairs to your favorite pieces that would otherwise not be possible.
