Zum Kanal 5

17111 Volksdorf

The gallery offers children and young people from the surrounding area in particular a platform to have their say, strengthen their place in the community and support the fun of creating. In certain formats, such as exhibitions and workshops, vacation guests from nearby can also come into contact with the young artists. Who knows, maybe this will lead to creative art sponsorships? Children must be able to play an active role in shaping art and feel that they are important! Galleries are important public spaces. Here, people of all ages and social classes can come together who otherwise hardly ever meet in everyday life. Exhibitions will be held here at regular intervals in conjunction with a vernissage. Artist Paul Torsten Hahn and his partner Sabine Berendse are responsible for the project: "We want to show young people that we want them to be part of society and democracy and that we are interested in them." Of course, young and young-at-heart vacation guests can also visit the gallery and talk to the young artists at one or other of the events.

Smallest gallery in Western Pomerania in Volksdorf - art with a social message

The smallest gallery in Western Pomerania has found its home in the middle of Volksdorf, not far from the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The project by artist Paul Torsten Hahn and his partner Sabine Berendse is aimed particularly at children and young people from the region. The aim is to provide them with a platform to express themselves artistically, strengthen their place in the community and discover the fun of creating.

Exhibitions and workshops for young artists on the Baltic Sea

Exhibitions with vernissages are held at regular intervals, where young artists show their work. Vacation guests - whether from the region around Stralsund, Greifswald or the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula - are also very welcome to visit the gallery and talk to the young talents at workshops or events. This may even lead to a creative art sponsorship or two.

Gallery as an open meeting place in Western Pomerania

The initiators see the gallery as a public place where people of different ages and social backgrounds can come together. "We want to show young people that we want them to be part of society and democracy and that we are interested in them," say Hahn and Berendse. The gallery offers a special opportunity to get to know local youth culture up close, especially for families spending their vacation on the Baltic coast of Western Pomerania.
