Surfspot Rambin
Surfspot Rambin - windsurfing on the Kupitzer Bodden
The Rambin surf spot on the Baltic Sea is located around twelve kilometers north-east of Stralsund, nestled in a nature reserve on the Kupitzer Bodden on the island of Rügen. Unlike the village of the same name, which is crossed by a busy main road, the spot is quiet and largely untouched. You won't find a classic white sandy beach like elsewhere on Rügen here - but the shallow water with its extensive standing area offers ideal conditions for windsurfers.
Flat water area for beginners and freestylers
Due to nature conservation regulations, only windsurfing is permitted at the Rambin spot - similar to Scharprode. Kitesurfing is not permitted here. The spot is particularly suitable for wind directions between west and northwest. Beginners benefit from the calm shallow water conditions, while freestylers can use the spacious standing area for maneuvers and technique training. The rural surroundings in the middle of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern make the spot a pleasantly tranquil alternative to the busier surf spots in the region.
