Kamminke surf spot
Surf spot Kamminke on the Szczecin Lagoon - Usedom's insider tip on the Baltic Sea
The Kamminke surf spot is located in the eastern part of the island of Usedom, directly on the northern shore of the Szczecin Lagoon - not far from the German-Polish border. This makes it very different from the classic Baltic Sea surf spots on Rügen or Fischland-Darß-Zingst, for example: here, historic fishing village flair meets ideal conditions for surfers, kiters and SUP fans. Thatched houses and a striking cliff face characterize the image of the village.
Wind conditions and water activities in KamminkeThe spot is particularly impressive in southerly wind directions - from SE to W, the conditions are suitable for both beginners and experienced surfers. A mobile surf school on site offers kitesurfing courses and SUP rental. It is advisable to always talk to the surf school before entering the water, as bathers and other water sports enthusiasts also use the beach in the summer months.
Camper pitch directly at the Kamminke surf spotParticularly practical for surfing travelers: Parking facilities with a waste disposal station are available at the spot so that motorhome adventurers can spend the night right by the water. Kamminke is considered one of the oldest fishing villages on Usedom and is located in the so-called Achterland of the island - away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the large seaside resorts such as Heringsdorf or Zinnowitz.
