Surfspot Dierhagen
Surfspot Dierhagen: surfing on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
The surf spot Dierhagen is one of the most popular wave spots on the German Baltic Sea coast. Located directly at the entrance to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, Dierhagen offers excellent conditions for windsurfers with wind directions from west to northeast. Particularly pleasant: there are no groynes here, so you can ride in all directions without any problems - an advantage that many other spots on the Baltic Sea do not offer.
Windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP in Dierhagen
A small surf school offering courses for windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddling is located at beach access 17. Equipment rental is also available on site. Kiters are allowed on the sea side between beach access 23 and 24 on an approximately 200-metre-long section of water. Unfortunately, kiting is not permitted on the Bodden side. In summer, you should keep an eye on the distance to bathers and maintain sufficient distance from the beach.
Ice sailing on the Saaler Bodden - winter sports in Dierhagen
Dierhagen lies between the Saaler Bodden and the Baltic Sea - a location that makes a special tradition possible in winter: ice sailing on the Saaler Bodden. In appropriate weather conditions, this sport has long been firmly rooted in the region and makes Dierhagen an interesting destination for water sports enthusiasts, even outside of the surfing season.
