Dargun lido on the Klostersee lake in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The Dargun lido is located on the south-western shore of Dargun's Klostersee lake, nestled in an extensive recreational forest. It is a popular excursion destination for locals and guests of the town of Dargun alike. The natural setting of forest and lakeshore makes the village a peaceful alternative to the large stretches of beach on the Baltic Sea coast, for example on Rügen, Usedom or Fischland-Darß-Zingst.
Water facilities and equipment for families at Dargun lido
The lido offers several 50-metre lanes, a diving board, two water slides, a water ropeway and a diving tower. A separate shallow water area ensures that even the youngest children can swim safely. A lifeguard is on site during opening hours. A sandy beach, sunbathing lawn, beach chairs and covered picnic tables invite you to linger. There is also a volleyball court and a playground. Modern changing rooms, public toilets and a snack bar round off the facilities. Dogs are not allowed at the lido.
Hiking trails and forest adventure trails around the Darguner Klostersee
For those who want to be active after a day of swimming, there are numerous hiking trails and exciting forest adventure trails in the adjacent Dargun recreational forest. The combination of natural pool and forest area makes Dargun lido a worthwhile excursion destination in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region - also for day visitors from the surrounding areas around Rostock, Greifswald or Stralsund. Parking spaces are available directly at the lido.
