Sports boat and marina Breege
Breege sports boat and marina - a Baltic Sea port with history
The Breege sports boat and marina is located on the Baltic Sea, where the Rügen peninsula of Wittow is connected to the rest of the island via the narrow headland of the Schaabe. The town is one of the oldest harbors on Rügen and, with its stately captain's houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, is reminiscent of a time when galleasses, brigantines and schooners set sail from here.
Modern water sports center on the Breeger Bodden
Today, the port has developed into a modern water sports center on the Breeger Bodden. With 50 guest berths and a solid range of services, it is an attractive port of call in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, especially for leisure captains. In its marina classification, the ADAC awarded the harbor 3 steering wheels in the categories of technology and service as well as catering and leisure. Some fishermen are also still active here.
Excursions from Breege to Hiddensee and Ralswiek
In summer, excursion boats depart from the port of Breege to take visitors to the island of Hiddensee in Western Pomerania. Trips to the famous Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek - one of the largest open-air theaters in Germany - also depart from here. Numerous maritime vacation accommodations in the surrounding area make Breege a popular starting point for water sports and island tours on Rügen.
