Zingst pier
Zingst pier - stroll across the Baltic Sea on Fischland-Darß-Zingst
The Zingst pier is one of the most popular places to visit on the entire Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. At 270 meters long and 2.50 meters wide, it stretches far out over the open sea and invites you to stroll, linger and take a deep breath. The spicy Baltic Sea air, the wide blue of the water and the unobstructed view of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula make every walk here something special. The current pier was inaugurated in May 1993.
Diving gondola and beach life right by the Zingst pierA special experience awaits visitors at the end of the pier: Since June 2013, a diving gondola has allowed up to 30 people at a time to experience the Baltic Sea from a completely different perspective - namely from below. Those who prefer to stay on the surface of the water can enjoy a refreshing swim or sunbathe on the beach. In the immediate vicinity, restaurants and a cocktail area invite you to take a break. The neighboring Kurhaus also houses tourist information, a restaurant and changing photo exhibitions.
Barrier-free beach access at the Ostseeheilbad Zingst
The Baltic Sea resort of Zingst also thinks about guests with limited mobility: A so-called Mobi Chair is available for hire directly at the pier, which can be used to comfortably navigate the sandy beach. This means that all visitors can enjoy the beach feeling on the Baltic Sea without restrictions.
