Petra and Max Barske | Wooden House Studio & Sculpture Garden Pruchten
Wooden house studio & sculpture garden Pruchten on the Baltic Sea
Petra and Max Barske have created a very special studio in the middle of Pruchten, close to the Bodden landscape of Western Pomerania and the Fischland-Darß-Zingst National Park. At Holzhausatelier & Skulpturengarten Pruchten, two artists combine their very different artistic worlds under one roof - and allow visitors to share in them all year round.
Petra Barske: Abstract painting between the Bodden landscape and Nordic islands
Petra Barske works with oil and acrylic and moves between representational landscape painting and abstract imagery. She finds her inspiration in the nature of the Bodden landscape in Western Pomerania, in the structures of old billboards and peeling industrial paint as well as in the impressions of Nordic islands. This range makes her work distinctive and versatile.
Max Barske: Kinetic sculptures made of steel and wood in the gardenMax Barske is a passionate designer and tinkerer. He builds complex kinetic installations and sculptures made of steel and wood, which can be found not only in his studio, but also in the extensive sculpture garden and the surrounding landscape. His works fascinate children and adults alike - and if you take a careful stroll through Pruchten, you will be surprised to discover one or two sculptures.
Exhibitions, art:open and commissioned works in PruchtenThe studio and work exhibition is open all year round. On special dates such as the Whitsun event KUNST:Offen and the October event KUNST heute, Petra and Max Barske open their doors as part of regional art programs in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In addition, exhibitions are organized and commissioned works are realized.
