Port of Born

Port of Born
Embedded in meadows and forest, the romantic little village stretches four and a half kilometers from the Saaler Bodden in the west to the Koppelstrom on its southern side. During the season, passenger boats sail here daily to Prerow, Althagen, Fuhlendorf and Bodstedt. There are several newly built modern jetties in Born, and water sports enthusiasts are competently instructed by the Born harbour master at the municipal jetty. Due to its great commitment to the environment, the harbor has been awarded the European "Blue Flag" environmental award for several years. The harbor also has the "Yellow Wave" as a widely visible symbol - an award from the German Tourism Association and has been awarded three stars. Thatched houses characterize the townscape.
