Burgwall ferry
The passenger ferry connects the mainland with Burgwallinsel - a former Slavic settlement.
Originally, the farmers of Teterow grazed their cattle on Burgwallinsel, but at some point they created a small ferry link between the island and the mainland. Over time, the island became a popular excursion destination. A restaurant was built on the island and a passenger ferry was put into operation. This is still the case today. The Burgwall ferry runs to Burgwallinsel from Easter to September.
