Hofsee viewpoint in Speck

Hofsee viewpoint in Speck
Hofsee viewpoint in Speck The Hofsee is located in the middle of the Müritz National Park between the Priesterbäker See and the Specker See. Here you can still get directly to the shore, go swimming or fishing (with a permit). The viewing hut in the north of the lake offers the opportunity to observe nature and its inhabitants in peace. Don't forget your binoculars. In and around the village there are old trees, such as the 200-year-old pine tree in the north or the 800-year-old summer lime tree opposite the old village church; and the old smithy, as well as a playground.

Viewpoint Hofsee in Speck - a natural idyll in the Müritz National Park

The Hofsee lake in Speck is nestled between the Priesterbäker See and Specker See lakes in the middle of the Müritz National Park - one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Unlike many other lakes in the region, direct access to the shore is possible here. If you want, you can swim in the Hofsee or fish with a valid permit.

Observation hut at Hofsee: watch birds and wildlife

There is a small viewing hut in the northern part of the Hofsee, which offers ideal conditions for quiet nature observation. If you bring binoculars, you can experience the diverse wildlife of the national park up close. The untouched tranquillity around the lake makes this place a real antithesis to the lively vacation resorts on the Baltic Sea coast such as Rügen or Usedom.
