Watersports Center Dänholm Nord e.V.

Stralsund's water sports center is located on the Dänholm, the small island in the Strelasund between Stralsund and Rügen, right next to the Ziegelgrabenbrücke bridge.

Boaters and non-boaters can expect a large sailing and motorboat harbor with a small bistro and one of the most beautiful views of Stralsund's city skyline. Stralsund's water sports center is located on the Dänholm, the small island in the Strelasund between Stralsund and Rügen, right next to the Ziegelgrabenbrücke bridge and below the new Rügenbrücke bridge. Boaters and non-boaters alike can expect a large sailing and motorboat harbor with a small bistro and one of the most beautiful views of Stralsund's city skyline with its three imposing churches, the Gorch Fock, the warehouses and the Ozeaneum. The jetty is well protected by the large harbor pier (Ostmole) and is a good springboard to the north (e.g. Hiddensee, Barhöft, Baltic Sea, etc.) or through the bascule bridge to the east (e.g. Greifswalder Bodden, Usedom, etc.). The water sports center flies the "Blue Flag" for good environmental management and water quality. Eight clubs have their boat moorings there in around 250 boxes on five jetties. The main jetty will be rebuilt at the beginning of 2018 and is not yet available for use. A sixth floating jetty will then be available to all welcome guests as a water hiking rest area with an additional 25 comfortable berths. The bistro in the harbor area can still be visited, but it can only be reached from the land side. In addition, guest berths are available at water depths of 1.70 to 2.40 m when the local boats are underway. The free spaces are marked in green and are allocated by the harbour master. In addition to sanitary facilities, the marina has a slip, a hand-operated mast crane and a fixed crane with a lifting capacity of up to 10 tons, which can also be used by non-club members. "Blue Flag" for good environmental management and water quality.
