The nave was completed in the 15th century, the belfry only in the 18th century. The Sietow church was built in the 15th century and the belfry was added later in the 18th century. The two parts of the church are separated by a triumphal arch and the original altar was replaced by a neo-Gothic carved altar. Since 2021, the church has been a venue for various events as a "storytelling church". The narrative church is a project of the Sietow parish and the Center for Church Services with support from the Tourism Fund. Coming to rest, being heard, being able to listen. The artist couple Jeikner have not only designed the Wandelweg Sietow, but also a very special kind of studio. The pictures, wall hangings and small works of art are made of fine, hand-dyed felt cloth. The meaningful pictures tell of the healing wisdom of life in pictorial language. Opening hours Spring to fall: Fri, Sat, Sun and on public holidays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Other times on request or by chance. Just call in advance.
