Kröpeliner Gate
The Kröpeliner Gate is one of the 22 city gates that once formed part of Rostock’s medieval city fortifications.
The Gothic gate was first mentioned in 1280. It originally consisted of two stories and was expanded in the 15th century to its current height of 54 meters. Since May 2005, the Geschichtswerkstatt Rostock has been using the gate for exhibitions, events, and themed city tours. Visitors can also obtain information about the city here and enjoy a beautiful view of the city wall from above.
