The Baltic seaside resort of Boltenhagen on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast is home to a very special museum: Jürgen Kubatz's Ship in a Bottle Museum. He has been lovingly crafting his exhibits himself for over 40 years and presents them in his exhibition entitled "Seafaring is a necessity". The collection includes artistically designed ships in bottles, detailed ship models, old maritime equipment and flotsam and jetsam from the Baltic Sea region.
