Nature Treasury Neuheide - 60,000 exhibits from the world of stones

The Nature Treasury in Neuheide is one of the most fascinating natural history museums on the German Baltic coast. On 1,000 square meters, visitors encounter over 60,000 exhibits: glittering minerals, sparkling crystals from all over the world, amber with rare inclusions as well as impressive fossils, shells and snail shells. Especially in a region like Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where Baltic amber has been part of the cultural heritage for centuries, this extraordinary center blends in particularly harmoniously with the landscape.

Amber, gemstones and local wildlife presented in a lifelike way

In addition to the colorful collection of gemstones, the Neuheide Nature Treasury also displays realistically prepared butterflies and animals from the local fauna. A special highlight is the little owl's nursery, which provides a unique insight into the life of this shy owl species. The adjoining paradise garden invites you to linger and complements the experience in a peaceful, natural way.

Children's vacation program - panning for gold and sifting gemstones

During the summer vacations, the Nature Treasury offers a free children's vacation program. Children can wash real gold nuggets, sift amber and gemstones and try out much more for themselves - an educational adventure for the youngest guests of the Baltic Sea region.

The in-house museum store rounds off the visit: with more than 300,000 items relating to minerals, gemstones and natural objects, it is one of the most extensive of its kind in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is ideal for a lasting souvenir from your Baltic Sea vacation.
