Neuenkirchen Tennis Facility – Club Sports Near the Baltic Sea Coast

The Neuenkirchen Tennis Facility is a club-owned sports facility located in the town of Neuenkirchen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is operated by the Neuenkirchen Tennis Club 1998 e.V., which has actively managed the facility since its opening in 1999. The tennis court is located directly behind the “Schule am Bodden” and blends seamlessly into the townscape.

Playing tennis in the vacation area between the Bodden and the Baltic Sea

Neuenkirchen is located in the scenic region around the Bodden, in close proximity to the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula. Those who wish to combine their Baltic Sea vacation with sporting activities will find a great opportunity to play tennis here—away from the major tourist centers like Rostock or Stralsund, yet nestled in the typical North German coastal landscape of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The Neuenkirchen 1998 Tennis Club (e.V.) as the local sponsor

Founded in 1998, the Neuenkirchen 1998 Tennis Club (e.V.) has been committed to local club sports for more than two decades. The club is an integral part of the town’s sporting life and offers both locals and vacationers a hub for all things tennis on the German Baltic Sea coast.

Experience nature with Germany's best-known bird and animal imitator! As a qualified biologist and certified nature and landscape guide, I offer bird song excursions, nature walks, lectures and seminars. In addition to the enjoyment of nature, my events focus on the entertaining, lively transfer of knowledge. I also make use of my talent for faithfully imitating the voices of many native birds and other animal species and understanding their meaning. In this way, I open up a particularly intensive approach to nature for you. Details and dates for public events can be found on my homepage. You can also book me for individual events for groups or individuals. I am a partner of the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve and holder of the regional brand "For body and soul".

Neuenkirchen

The half-timbered church in Neuenkirchen dates back to the Middle Ages. The parish church was built in the 14th century under the patronage of the Hilda monastery in Eldena. Worth seeing are medieval gravestones and remains of the wall and vault paintings with Low German minuscule inscriptions, the organ (1836) and stained glass windows on the east gable of the church building. Please contact the parish office if you would like to visit.

The Elf School is a place of inspiration. Here, people find space and opportunity to discover their creative power and follow their intuition. Together, we are in the process of making the Little People of Lake Schaalsee visible again, reminding us of the forces of nature and expanding our perception. Ines Bargholz, founder of the Elf School in Neuenkirchen, is certain that there are elves, fairies, goblins, trolls and nature spirits in the Schaalsee UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Her elf school is a place of inspiration where visitors can be enchanted and where they can find space to develop their creative power and follow their intuition. Ines Bargholz offers so-called elf weekends. In addition to a guided elf hike, these also include a modeling course where participants can make their own elf. If you don't want to book a whole weekend, you can discover the wondrous creatures on an elf afternoon, which also includes a hike. The elf school is located on a strong energy site, right opposite the oldest church in West Mecklenburg, in the middle of a specially protected cultural landscape, between Hamburg and Schwerin. Here, people have the opportunity to discover a wonderful world in a magical natural landscape along winding riverside paths.
