Pottery Usedom

On the approximately 150-year-old former Büdnerhof farm, visitors will find the oldest pottery and ceramics workshop on the island of Usedom as well as the studio and sculpture garden of artist Anette Schröder, designed as a natural "Blue Garden" with figures, objects, garden and utility ceramics and secluded garden spaces to sit down in.

Since 1984, ceramist and artist Anette Schröder has been producing hand-potted and hand-painted utility ceramics, predominantly blue-grey, but also in other pleasant colors, as well as sculptures for the house and garden, figures, paintings and graphics. In 1979, the artist from Schwerin settled here in Bannemin on Usedom, and the workshop and exhibition rooms were built afterwards. The gallery garden and rooms form a varied refuge that invites you to linger and relax in the north of Usedom. Cat lovers will find ceramic cats, paintings and children's books written and illustrated by the artist and much more on the subject in the cat cabinet. In the summer months in particular, the enchanting "Blue Garden", which is close to nature, is a source of enthusiasm for visitors. Special events are held here from time to time. More information can be found on the website.

Oldest pottery on Usedom: ceramic workshop in Mölschow

The small village of Mölschow in the north of the island of Usedom is home to the oldest pottery and ceramics workshop on the island. Ceramist and artist Anette Schröder has been working in her workshop on a 150-year-old former Büdnerhof farm since 1984, creating handmade, hand-painted utility ceramics and sculptures for the home and garden. Her work is characterized by figurative drawings and a predominantly blue-grey colour scheme, complemented by other pleasant shades.

The Blue Garden - sculpture garden and natural refuge on Usedom

The so-called "Blue Garden" extends around the workshop, a natural gallery garden with figures, objects and garden and utility ceramics. Secluded garden spaces invite you to linger and relax - especially in the summer months, this place unfolds its special magic. In addition to ceramics, Anette Schröder also exhibits paintings and graphics here. A separate cat cabinet is dedicated entirely to the theme of cats: with ceramic cats, paintings and children's books written and illustrated by the artist herself. Special events are held on the premises from time to time.

Visit Usedom in the north of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

The island of Usedom is one of the most popular destinations on the German Baltic Sea coast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Mölschow is located in the quiet north of the island, away from the large imperial resorts, and is easily accessible from cities such as Greifswald or Stralsund. Those traveling to the island by train can use the Usedomer Bäderbahn with connections from Greifswald and Züssow. By car, you can reach Usedom via the B111 via Wolgast or over the Meininger Bridge.
