The Lubmin horse beach at beach access 15-18 is one of the few officially designated riding areas directly on the Baltic Sea coast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Riders are allowed to use the beach between beach access 15 and 18 - a special experience with a view of the open sea near the Bay of Greifswald.

The use of the horse beach is seasonal: From October to April, horse riding is permitted daily without time restrictions. In the summer months from May to September, the beach is open to riders in the early morning hours and from the evening onwards. Only beach access points 15 and 18 are to be used to access the beach.

The recommended circular bridle path is the route from Freesendorfer Weg via Wolfsschlucht (exit 15) to the beach and back via beach exit 18 along the Gastrasse to Freesendorfer Weg. This defined circular route ensures an orderly coexistence of riders, beach walkers and nature along the coast - as is also protected on other sections of the Baltic Sea coast between Rügen, Fischland-Darß-Zingst and Usedom.
