KeRAMIK Elke Ludwig in Kobrow – hand-thrown tableware from Mecklenburg

In the small town of Kobrow, nestled in the peaceful countryside of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Elke Ludwig works at her potter’s wheel. Her workshop, KeRAMIK – Elke Ludwig, specializes in functional ceramics created through genuine craftsmanship and a keen sense of form and decoration—a far cry from industrial mass-produced goods.

Potter’s wheel, engobe, and gas kiln—traditional ceramics made by hand

Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel, decorated with engobe, and then fired in a gas kiln. The range extends from simple designs in gray and pink to romantically rose-painted cups, bowls, plates, and jugs. Planters—freestanding or for wall mounting—are also part of the collection. These are favorite pieces for the kitchen and garden that impress with their artisanal quality.
