The Greifswald Gate in Grimmen was built around 1350 and is one of three gates that still exist in Grimmen. Built between 1350 and 1400, the Greifswald Gate was part of the town's medieval defenses. It was severely damaged by a lightning strike around 1800. Somewhat smaller and less ornate, the late Gothic brick building was rebuilt due to a lack of funds. The Greifswald Gate was extensively renovated in 1980.

In the carpentry, weaving and candle workshops, high-quality products are created with skilled craftsmanship and great attention to detail. The offer is complemented by an organic market garden, where seasonal vegetables and herbs are grown, as well as a small farm with mother-based dairy cattle farming and a village maintenance workshop, which is also active in the surrounding area. The village community is an open place - visitors are welcome to explore the grounds, take a look at the workshops or go shopping. It also offers guided tours and educational insights into inclusive life in the countryside. Here, people believe in the power of real encounters, in working together as equals and in working together in a way that sees differences as enrichment.
