Studio for porcelain and ceramics

Borrentin · Mecklenburgische Seenplatte · 53.7906° N, 12.9611° E
Studio for porcelain and ceramics

The porcelain studio is located in the small village of Gnevezow, on the border between Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania, not far from Lake Kummerow.

Unique pieces and small series of porcelain have been created here since fall 2014. My aim is to give my products a regional connection. I live in a rural area, love nature and spend a lot of time outdoors. The idyllic landscape and the tranquillity associated with it are what define Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for me, and I want these feelings to be reflected in my porcelain. The nature around me is a direct source of inspiration. Stones, flowers, fruit and grain serve as models and provide surfaces, patterns and structures. Combined with the functionality of porcelain, this results in vases, bowls, lamps and jewelry. Just drop by the studio and take a look over my shoulder as I work.

The small village of Gnevezow near Borrentin, not far from Lake Kummerow, is home to the porcelain and ceramics studio. Since fall 2014, unique pieces and small series have been created here that reflect the landscape and nature of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Anyone familiar with the tranquil region between the Baltic Sea coast and the lake district will recognize this spirit in every piece.

Nature as a source of inspiration for unique porcelain pieces

The rural idyll of Mecklenburg provides the ceramist with direct inspiration: stones, flowers, fruit and grain flow into her work as surfaces, patterns and structures. This results in vases, bowls, lamps and decorative objects that combine functionality with an unmistakable regional character. Anyone traveling inland on a trip from the Baltic Sea coast - for example from Rügen, Usedom or Fischland-Darß-Zingst - will find an unusual souvenir from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern here.
