Visitor information center of the Peene Valley Riverscape Nature Park in Stolpe
The visitor information center of the Peene River Landscape Nature Park is located on the south bank of the Peene River, in the heart of the municipality of Stolpe. In a thatched house not far from the old village church - harmoniously integrated into the townscape - visitors can expect a modern exhibition about the unique habitats along the Peene, one of the most natural river landscapes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Lake eagle, orchid and moors: experience biodiversity in the Peene Valley
From the white-tailed eagle to the reed owl, from the orchid to the sand immortelle - the exhibition vividly conveys the extraordinary flora and fauna that characterizes this nature park. A special focus is placed on the moorland areas and the large-scale renaturation measures in the region. Anyone wishing to gain a better understanding of the Baltic Sea coast and its nearby natural areas - similar to the Western Pomerania Lagoon National Park near Greifswald or the natural landscapes on Usedom - will find valuable insights here.
