Bobbin Temple Hill viewpoint
Viewpoint Tempelberg Bobbin - panoramic view over the Jasmund Bodden
The Tempelberg viewpoint near Bobbin is one of the most impressive vantage points on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The approximately 60-metre-high hill is located near the road between Sagard and Glowe and offers a sweeping view over the Great Jasmund Bodden to the west. On clear days, the view extends as far as the lighthouses on the island of Hiddensee and Cape Arkona at the northern tip of Rügen.
Cranes and sunsets on Bobbin Temple Hill
The Tempelberg becomes a popular meeting place for nature photographers and observers, especially in the fall. In the evening hours, flocks of cranes gather on the Great Jasmund Bodden to set up camp for the night - an impressive natural spectacle that makes the Baltic Sea region of Rügen particularly worth seeing at this time of year. The viewpoint also offers atmospheric sunsets over the Bodden at any time of year.
