Studio Ulrike Northing
Atelier Ulrike Northing in Vitte - Painting between nature and light
The Ulrike Northing studio in Vitte is an artistic meeting point on the car-free island of Hiddensee. Ulrike Northing, known as the island painter of Hiddensee, dedicates her work to the special qualities of the Baltic Sea region: the changing light, the tranquillity of nature and the vast seascapes. Floral motifs complement her work and show a wide range of painterly impressions.
Painting inspired by the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-VorpommernThe landscape around Hiddensee has provided painters with special inspiration for generations - similar to the coastal regions on Rügen, Fischland-Darß-Zingst or the area around Greifswald. Northing's works reflect this tradition and capture the characteristic atmosphere of the Baltic Sea coast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in their own unique way. If you would like to visit the current exhibition, you can find out about the opening times in advance on the display board in front of the town hall in Vitte.
