Angling club "An der Recknitz" Marlow e.V. - Fishing on the lower Recknitz
The angling club "An der Recknitz" Marlow e.V. looks after the lower Recknitz, a natural fishing area in the middle of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A variety of fish species can be fished here all year round from land and boat - from eel to zander. The club was founded in 1927 and now has over 350 members, including more than 50 girls and women.

Anybody who wants to explore the region's waters as a guest can purchase a tourist fishing license from the association all year round, as well as a fishing permit for the waters of the LAV-MV and the coastal waters of MV. The association also offers fishing license courses where both locals and holidaymakers can take the exam for a lifetime fishing license.
Public harbor and fishing festival in MarlowSince 2002, the association has organized an annual public harbour and fishing festival, which attracts association members, residents and guests from the entire Baltic Sea coast region. The festival has long been an integral part of cultural life in Marlow and is very popular. Visitors to the coastal landscape between Fischland-Darß-Zingst and Stralsund will find a special experience away from the beach and the sea.

You can reach Marlow by train via Altenwillershagen station (approx. 11 km), other train stations are located in Ribnitz-Damgarten (approx. 12 km). By car, the highway exits Raststätte Lindholz and Bad Sülze (both approx. 12-12.5 km) offer good connections. Bus connections are available from Ribnitz-Damgarten, Bahnhof West. Those arriving by water can use the ferry MS "Boddenkieker" approx. 14 km away.
