Graal-Müritz barefoot trail - experience nature in the Rostock Heath

The barefoot trail in Graal-Müritz invites young and old to experience the nature of the Baltic Sea region first-hand. Without shoes, you walk over a wide variety of surfaces such as stones, wood and pine cones - a conscious experience for the senses that heightens contact with nature in a special way. The trail is located in the middle of the Rostock Heath, one of the largest contiguous coastal forests in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Along the route, display boards provide information about the native wildlife of the Rostock Heath. The barefoot path is easily accessible by train: The nearest train stations, Graal-Müritz Koppelweg and Graal-Müritz, are each around 1.1 to 1.3 kilometers away. By car, we recommend taking the freeway exit Rostock-Industriehafen, around 14 kilometers away. If you would like to combine your journey with a trip on the water, you can use the ferry from Markgrafenheide, which docks around 8 kilometers away.
