The bus stop is located directly at the Müritz Bear Sanctuary Visitor Center. BÄRENWALD Müritz, a FOUR PAWS animal welfare project, offers the bears a habitat that meets their natural requirements: a varied landscape with mixed forest, meadows, forest clearings, slopes and a natural watercourse. These are ideal conditions for brown bears to rediscover and live out their natural behavior. They can live out their urge to move, retreat, dig dens and hibernate. Ponds allow extensive bathing and grooming - bears love water! Contact with humans is reduced to a necessary minimum so that the brown bear has the opportunity to create its own daily routine. Visitors are given an insight into the animals' daily routine - but only the bear decides whether or not to be seen. It can withdraw at any time. Rundbus Plauer See stop 16: Directly at the Müritz bear sanctuary

Stop 16 on the Plauer See circular bus takes visitors directly to the Müritz Bear Sanctuary visitor center - one of the special animal conservation projects in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern vacation region. If you want to explore the Baltic Sea coast and discover the hinterland, this is a worthwhile excursion away from Rügen, Usedom or Fischland-Darß-Zingst.

Experience brown bears in their natural habitat

The Müritz Bear Sanctuary is a FOUR PAWS project and offers rescued brown bears a habitat that meets their natural needs. Mixed forest, meadows, forest clearings, slopes and a natural watercourse create ideal conditions for the animals to live out their natural behavior. The bears dig dens, hibernate and splash around in the ponds - because bears love water. Contact with humans is deliberately kept to a minimum so that each bear can decide for itself whether to show itself.

Family outing with exhibition, playground and bistro

In addition to the bear area, the site also offers exciting exhibition stations, an adventure forest playground, an organic bistro and a bear store. A visit is particularly suitable as a day trip for families spending their vacation on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast or around Lake Plau.
