Teterow House of Culture

Teterow House of Culture
Experience interesting and entertaining events at the Kulturhaus Teterow. With the reopening of the Kulturhaus Teterow, the town has gained a traditional venue. The historic building was opened back in 1881 as a restaurant on what was then Wilhelmsplatz. A hotel was added later. In 1893, the "salon building" was added - of considerable dimensions for the time. Particular emphasis was placed on good acoustics, as from then on "the full effect of musical and theatrical performances was to be brought to bear". At the beginning of the 20th century, the then owner August Scharf advertised "Teterow's largest entertainment hall with a parquet floor". Even then, there were lavish parties and performances. Today, the Kulturhaus can be hired as an event location. Offer: Hall operation catering services cultural events dance

Kulturhaus Teterow - an event venue with history

The Kulturhaus Teterow looks back on more than 140 years of history. The building opened its doors as a restaurant on what was then Wilhelmsplatz in 1881. The so-called Salonbau followed in 1893 - an impressive extension for the time, which was designed for excellent acoustics right from the start. The aim was to achieve the full effect of musical and theatrical performances. At the beginning of the 20th century, owner August Scharf advertised Teterow's largest entertainment hall - with a first-class parquet floor.
