Teterow House of Culture
Kulturhaus Teterow - an event venue with history
The Kulturhaus Teterow looks back on more than 140 years of history. The building opened its doors as a restaurant on what was then Wilhelmsplatz in 1881. The so-called Salonbau followed in 1893 - an impressive extension for the time, which was designed for excellent acoustics right from the start. The aim was to achieve the full effect of musical and theatrical performances. At the beginning of the 20th century, owner August Scharf advertised Teterow's largest entertainment hall - with a first-class parquet floor.
