This is the top spot on the Müritz - and also the only one where you are allowed to kite on the water. The small but fine sandy beach slopes so gently that the water is 500 meters deep. The southwest to north is the most fun. When it's calm, you can pass the time with beach volleyball or hire a SUP from the windsurfing school. Boek is the only town on the eastern bank of the Müritz and is located on the edge of the Müritz National Park. Nature lovers get their money's worth here and can experience varied and unique nature. In addition to the vast pine forests and large moors, the beech forests of the national park were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. The spot offers you a large standing area and therefore plenty of space on the water. There is not quite as much space on land, which is why you need to be particularly considerate of bathers and holidaymakers. A surf school is available for you at the campsite and if the wind is not so good, there are plenty of leisure activities for an exciting day on the water or on land. For kitesurfers, this spot is also the only opportunity to kite on the Müritz. An extra kite zone has been created for this purpose, which is marked with buoys. The Boek kitesurfing spot is a real insider tip for kitesurfers - and not without reason: it is the only official spot on the Müritz where kitesurfing is permitted on the water. A specially created kite zone, which is marked with buoys, ensures clear conditions on the water. The small sandy beach slopes so gently that the water remains waist-deep for 500 meters - ideal conditions for a generous standing area. It's best to go when the wind is blowing from southwest to north.

Kiting in the Müritz National Park - pure nature in Mecklenburg

Boek is located on the eastern shore of the Müritz, right on the edge of the Müritz National Park - one of the most important nature reserves in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Anyone familiar with the Baltic Sea region with its coastal spots such as Rügen, Usedom or Fischland-Darß-Zingst will experience a completely different, tranquil nature here: vast pine forests, large moors and beech forests, which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.

Surfing school, SUP and beach volleyball at Boek campsite

A surf school offering windsurfing and SUP courses as well as kayak rental is located directly at the campsite. If it's calm, you can bridge the waiting time with beach volleyball. Important: Space on land is limited, so consideration for bathers and other vacationers is particularly important. Toilets, showers and a waste disposal station are located on the campsite.
