Port of Waase
Port Waase on Ummanz - fishing port on the quiet sister of Rügen
The port of Waase in Waase/Ummanz is located on the south-east coast of the island of Ummanz, which is known as the "quiet sister of Rügen". The small fishing port with its 45-metre-long quay blends harmoniously into the tranquil landscape of this undeveloped corner of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Primarily used by fishermen, the place exudes an original tranquillity that clearly distinguishes it from larger ports of call on the Baltic coast such as Stralsund or Sassnitz.
